Sony Entertainment Television Asia's Boogie Woogie Contestant RULES

1. Each contestant may only apply ONCE in any ONE geographical area.
2. Contest categories are Junior Category (ages 6-13**) and Senior Category (14 to 21).
3. Only solo performances are allowed. Each Participant will be allowed to perform only one dance item in a given category.
4. The Applicant will provide up to three song choices ahead of time before the Contest. Sony Entertainment Television Asia (SET Asia) will have the discretion to choose one of the three songs that the Participant will dance to in the Contest. Song selections must be Bollywood or Indian Pop music only; medleys of such songs are permitted. The duration of the song should be a minimum of 3 minutes and not exceed 5 minutes. There will be a penalty for exceeding the limit. SET Asia is not responsible for any malfunctions that may occur with your music. Please bring two copies of your music (one for back-up) on CD.
5. All participants must attach proof of age (photocopies only) in the form of birth certificate, state ID, Drivers license or passport to the application.
6. SET Asia reserves the right to cancel a contest category. SET Asia reserves the right to reschedule any part of contests due to weather, emergency, or other circumstances that might arise providing such circumstance is beyond the control of SET Asia. SET Asia is not responsible for disruptions or any other event that is deemed to be out of their control.
7. You are allowed to use free-standing decorations/props such as plants, small furniture, etc., that can be set up in less than one minute. It is your responsibility to make sure the decorations do not pose a safety hazard to the dancers and others. No candles/diyas are allowed. Participants are solely responsible for all items, including music, decorations, equipment, clothes, jewelry etc. If you chose to have a costume or props please come prepared to the audition
8. No vulgarities or obscenities are allowed at this family event.? Immediate disqualification of the person (s) will result in event of such occurrence.
9. Rules may be changed at the discretion of SET Asia without notice.
10. All decisions of the judges are final.
11. Participants grant SONY Entertainment Television Asia (SET Asia), irrevocable consent in perpetuity to the use of the sound recordings, photographs, video tape, and illustrations taken during or in connection with the Contest, in any and all applications including but not limited to advertising, commercials, promotion, stories, text, articles, illustrations, copy, and commercial exploitation, in any and all media forms, including but not limited to radio, broadcast and television, newspapers and magazines at any time without the contestant's further knowledge or consent.
12. Participants grant SET Asia the sole rights of ownership to the sound recordings, photographs and negatives, video tape, originals and copies of the poses, images, and recordings taken of contestant under this agreement. For purposes of U.S. Copyright laws, all works created under this agreement shall be "work for hire" with all rights vested solely in SET Asia. Ownership of those materials and all rights granted, SET Asia, under this agreement may at any time be sold, transferred, assigned or licensed by SET Asia to third parties without the contestant's further knowledge or consent.
13. Participants waive any and all rights of privacy they may have in regard to the subject matter of this agreement and further to indemnify and hold SET Asia harmless from any claims, expenses, damages, or other payments of any kind arising in any way out of the use of defense of participant?s name, image, voice, and likeness.
14. Participants release SET Asia and their respective officers, directors, and employees from any and all liability resulting from the conducting of the Contest, Participant?s participation in the Contest, Participant?s acceptance of the prizes, and Participant?s use of the prizes.
15. It is the responsibility of the Participants to make themselves available for the International Finals to be held in New Jersey and have all proper travel documents in order.
